ECHOtape Rock & Rolls Out for Rebuilding Together
As fans of ECHOtape know, there are plenty of useful things and fun things you can do when you have the right tools at your disposal. What happens however when you can’t afford the right tool or even lack the capability to use it?
Apparently you turn up the rock n’ roll!
ECHOtape has rolled out the carpet – errrr, tape! – for Rebuilding Together Valley of the Sun’s Rock & Roll Paint-a-Thon on Saturday, October 25, 2014, donating 900 rolls of tape to literally, and figuratively, help support the painting of more than 100 homes. ECHOtape’s line of contractor approved masking tape fit the bill for this huge project.
“ECHOtape is thrilled to partner with Rebuilding Together Valley of the Sun for their annual Rock & Roll Paint-a-Thon,” said Risa Edelstein, director of marketing for ECHOtape. “Our donation will support Rebuilding Together’s efforts to improve the exterior of low-income households, and help establish a new sense of pride throughout many Phoenix communities.”
What is Rebuilding Together? As an organization founded on the principle that community starts at home, they believe that providing home repairs, modifications, and improvements to low-income, senior, veteran, and disabled individuals is a great way to build community, sometimes right from the ground on up. The Paint-a-Thon is Rebuilding Together Valley of the Sun’s largest community service program, working to bring dignity for these homeowners who simply cannot afford or even physically complete the painting of their homes’ exteriors. This single-day event brings together over 3,000 volunteers, and over the course of the past 5 years has restored the exteriors of 560 homes.
“ECHOtape believes we have a social responsibility to support local communities,” said Edelstein. “Donating rolls of tape to this event is our way of showcasing our deep commitment to giving back.”
